INSPIRATION: Black on Black Tile

Thursday

source

Ever since I saw this image I've been obsessed with putting hexagon tile on the floor of my vestibule. I have a vestibule now, by the way. I didn't even know what it was called. But I have one, and now I know what to do with it.

And while trying to decide what color grout I wanted to use I found so many beautiful combinations of black tile with black grout - it's so minimal and understated - especially when the tile is matte. It creates such a great tonal texture.

Smoky Quartz

Wednesday

I'm obsessed with this giant smoky quartz at Ritual Ritual - it must weigh at least fifty pounds!

DIY PROJECT: Vintage Doorknobs

Tuesday

Last weekend we refinished our house's original vestibule door. While Patrick was sanding off the layers of old paint and adding a few new coats we repainted the hardware and replaced the knobs with some crackled porcelain knobs that I found the weekend before.

Of the Earth

Thursday

Angela Monaco of Concrete Polish Jewelry just dropped the lookbook for her new one-of-a-kind collection "Of the Earth"! I was so fortunate to contribute the flat styling and product photography as well as the retouching and layout design for this project. You can shop the collection and see the rest of the lookbook at Concrete Polish.

Geode

Wednesday

My favorite part about working with Ritual Ritual is going into the shop and photographing all of their amazing crystals. Literally hundreds of different crystals and geodes.

With this Ring

Tuesday

I've been recently working with local Philadelphia jewelry designer Angela Monaco of Concrete Polish and photographing some of her newest creations as well as some of her custom fine jewelry. While her Concrete Polish line definitely leans more fashion-forward with her crystalline-inspired shapes, her engagement jewelry is nothing short of delicate and breathtaking (via Concrete Polish).
