SOURCE LIST: My Modern Dressing Room
Wednesday
I've had a lot of requests about sources for my Modern Dressing Room Renovation - I've pulled together a source list of items I used in this makeover!
Monday
Making over the last bedroom in our house has been a long process - it took me a long time to decide on a way to build a floor-to-ceiling wardrobe that would give me the much-needed closet space I wanted while still making sure that the room could function as a bedroom - in other words I didn't want to "lose" a bedroom by turning it into a walk-in closet - it needed to be a space that was flexible enough to be a dressing room OR bedroom.
BEFORE + AFTER: My Mustard Master Bedroom Goes Black
Out of all of my house renovations thus far, my master bedroom was a lot less intense than my other projects, but ended up being the one that looks most dramatically different from start-to-finish. Taking this bedroom from mustard yellow to moody and masculine was mainly about cosmetics!

I've pulled together a list of sources for items I used in my master bedroom makeover - everything from paint colors to throw pillows!
Monday
I've rounded up links to a bunch of furnishings, accessories, and more that I used in my guest room renovation (and tried to hunt down something similar if the exact item is no longer available!)
Tuesday
When we first walked through our home when househunting, the master bedroom was somewhat of a loss with its old burgundy carpeting, mustard yellow paint and drapes, and a single, oddly-placed ceiling light. But it had bits of character shining through - a built-in armoire, beadboard chair rail (even though the chair rail was just extra square trim), and original hardwood floors hiding underneath.
Monday
The mantle that I salvaged and restored really inspired me to update the rear bedroom in our house. Until that point, we'd used it as an office that quickly turned into a storage room. Since all of my family lives out of state (and we have plenty of friends in other cities) I thought that turning the rear bedroom into a guest bedroom (with a small desk for me to use when needed) would be the best way to breathe some new life into our old house.

Friday

It's been 1 year and 2 months since we moved into our home, and I'm excited to say that our kitchen and living room are finally done! It's been a lot of work, a lot of it cosmetic, most of it DIY, and a LOT of white paint.
